(Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana)
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), aims to train rural youth who are poor and provide them with jobs with a regular monthly wage. It is one of the cluster initiatives of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India that seeks to promote rural livelihoods. It is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) – the Mission for poverty reduction called Aajeevika.
Skill To Succeed
The Skills to Succeed Academy addresses these challenges through an interactive online training program that helps 15–24-year-olds – particularly the hard to reach and those furthest from the job market – choose the right career fit and equips them with key employability skills to find and keep a job. Training focuses on teaching young people how to do things for themselves, building skills and confidence, and empowering them to take ownership of their own career development and job search. It includes 35 modules of practical employability skills training using advanced technologies, including gaming techniques, simulations, telestrations, videos, quizzes, and interactive exercises.
