Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), aims to train rural youth who are poor and provide them with jobs with a regular monthly wage. It is one of the cluster initiatives of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India that seeks to promote rural livelihoods. It is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) – the Mission for poverty reduction called Aajeevika.
Implementation of DDU-GKY involves State Governments, Technical Support Agencies like the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD & PR), and Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs).
“NAVJEEVAN TRUST” as a PIA started this project in September 2014. We conduct a skill training program in Districts of Rajkot, Dev Bhoomi Dwarka, Surendranagar, Kutch, Jamnagar, and Morbi.
